Why

Why        Trees get taller never get smaller,

       I always wonder why

I wonder why people cry and are not cheerie

I wonder why cherries are bright red,

I wonder why we have a bed to sleep in every night,

I wonder why some places are packed so tight

I wonder when my wonders will stop, but they might not,

Do you still wonder?

Ivy,
Yes, I still wonder. I guess we will always wonder about stuff. I think it’s human nature to be curious.
Right now I’m wondering what inspired you to write this poem and I wonder how I got so blessed to have you for a granddaughter. God is good….all the time!
Love ya bunches,
Your Wondering Nana

Ivy! That is a wonderful poem, it reminds me of a writing activity that I do with my students called Fierce Wonderings. I have them think about the things that keep them up at night, or distract them during math class and then write about it in just the way you have. I like that sometimes the things we wonder about don’t really have immediate answers! So, yes I still wonder all the time! What I am wondering this very moment is if you will be a published writer when you are older, because clearly you are already a young writer!
